The view on stem cell research is caught in the middle. Some scientists believe it's a great thing to keep researching because this could improve future genetic problems. Other scientists think that it's not a good idea, because there are limits to this. Some could go overboard and cause problems and also mutations.
Pharmacologists view on stem cell research is that cells have the potential to revolutionize drug discovery by providing a model for any human cell type of drug development. The new generation may contribute to replace animal testing and decrease drug attrition. Using stem cell research could decrease the struggle of autoimmune diseases which could cost the government less. Animal testing is an issue to begin with, but using the research could decrease animal testing by increasing medical cures. Meaning that there are cures you wouldn't have to test on animals. Drug costs would decrease because finding cures would lessen the amount of drug usage.
My view on this subject is that this is a great idea. I do believe that you can find cures and solve a lot of medical issues. You could possibly find the cure for cancer, decrease animal testing, and you could save money by not buying as many drugs, because you wouldn't have to take as many to help you.
